History of the Jindalee Lions Club

The Jindalee Lions Club was formed in December 1966 and our sponsoring Club was the Lions Club of Kenmore.  Our Charter President was Peter Johansen and his Secretary and Treasurer were Ray MacLean and Garry Winter.  The Charter was presented to the Club by DG Bill Jones in March 1967.

The Club serves the Centenary Suburbs and while small in numbers at present, it has a proud history of service over some 35 years.  An abbreviated description of some of our activities is set out below.  The members of The Jindalee Lions Club gain great satisfaction and enjoyment in undertaking their activities and are always looking for new members, as well as for volunteers who are prepared to give some of their valuable time, to assist the members of the Club at various projects.

If after reading about our activities, you would like to assist, please e-mail the Club. We would be pleased to make contact and provide further information about the activities and membership of a Lions Club.
